it literally just dropped calm down my boy
Let’s make this the live reaction thread
Good so far (only on N95)
That section of Worldwide Steppers when he was talking about fucking white hoes and saying his ancestors must think he’s retaliating made me lmao
Die Hard is a VIBE!
Father Time is decent, enjoyed the verses much more than the hook
We Cry Together is hard af 😂😂😂😂 Taylour Paige going hard too, 1 minute in that’s on my playlist, wasn’t expecting this, my favorite so far
Production is insane
Yeah. I definitely don’t know how to feel about this project so far
Dont think anybody’s done yet lol.. Father Time though 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ghostface Killah stole the show on Purple Hearts, phenomenal
This is a really good album I enjoy it I will give it more time because I just only hear the first disc but mann🔥🔥🔥
We cry together is fucking phenomenal
He can’t please everybody
It’s good but also I would say he’s weakest album
Onto disc 2, Kenny is really starting to talk his shit now, Crown and Savior are hard af 🔥
It’s so beautiful
Idk it was kinda weird still good tho i need to listen to it again
Lol I’m still trying to listen to it
I’m tripping sack and just finished it but I don’t think a lot of people are going to vibe with this level of honesty. Personally I’m fucking here for it.
I really appreciated the listen for the narratives, but I don’t think I’ll playlist much of track list.
First listen and its a little chaotic for me. Have to listen again.
I really like it! Very introspective and positive. Probably my 4th favorite Kendrick album tho (of course this is just from the first listen)
Its pretty decent
IMO this shit is crazy his pen is the best it’s ever been. Mother I Sober is the most introspective and sad I’ve ever heard him sound. We cry together is toxic and funny af. Auntie Diaries was something I was not expecting at all it reminded me of Smile on Jay’s 4:44 completely out the left field. Production is crazy through out N95, Savior & Silent hill & Rich spirit stand out to me the most on the first listen through. Whilst I don’t think it’s his best record to date (TPAB still is to me) it’s still a great project nonetheless and IMO a step up from damn, there’s a lot to digest with these 18 tracks and hopefully like his previous works it gets better on repeat listens.
Its a solid project. His lyrical ability is amazing, but I think it will just be a one time listen for me, like DAMN was. The production feels so overdone sometimes. Cant think of any track I would replay. Maybe “We cry together”.
I just accept the fact, that Im not really into Kendrick and thats fine.
I wish we got some more dancey/hype tracks (or any?)
I do really like all the songs though, def a good ass album, just sad i didn’t get to hear anything that gave me the vibes of i, alright, king kunta, maad city etc
I love it. So introspective. I know it’ll get some hate because there’s no traditional bangers. But fuck he poured his heart and soul and his insecurities out
ITT: Haters
His best since GKMC
The problem with us is that our expectations from him was too high. GKMC and TPAB was his very best, which got our standards of what a Kendrick Lamar album should be, higher up to eleven. DAMN. was great, but not as good as the previous two, but that’s okay. Kendrick is not your typical rapper, he experiments a lot, and he has a great narrative that you could explore on every album, and it perfectly matches the production of his records.
“When shit hit the fan, is you still a fan?”
He’s been gone for 5 years, that’s why we instinctively thought that what he’s been doing, and what he will eventually release will be fire. We thought it’ll top his first two albums. But that’s not the case. He said he’s been through a lot. I’m pretty sure he has no problem with wealth, but he’s been through a lot of mental struggles. Kendrick has been trying to open up, and express his inner self more and more within every album. Shit hasn’t exactly hit the fan, but he might lose a lot of fans because of this. And that’s too bad, because the more you listen to Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, the more you’ll realize that it’s not just a rap album, it’s a narrative art.

I’d still rate it 8/10.
I might need therapy but my favorite shit is [we cry together](https://youtu.be/C_s9JJnqQqM)
