There are regular tees and then there are graphic tees featuring Martha Stewart munching on shellfish. The latter is the only thing that matters right now, for obvious reasons.
On July 25, Martha Stewart proudly announced her latest crafts project: a collaboration with streetwear brand Anti Social Social Club.
Dropping on July 30, the collaborative capsule collection introduces the Stewart merch we never knew we needed: graphic T-shirts of our American lifestyle queen partaking in the luxuries of seafood.
No, seriously, the Martha Stewart x Anti Social Social Club tees boast an image of the margarita (or should I say Martha-rita) maven slurping on an oyster while sensually gazing into the camera lens.
Meanwhile, on the collaborative hoodies, a happy Martha holds up a lobster in a photo stamped with ASSC’s wavy pink branding (duh).
I mean, come on! It’s Martha Stewart living her best shellfish life in t-shirt form, people. This is easily the coolest thing associated with the ASSC brand in years.
Its Fall/Winter 2022 collection, for instance is a very familiar assortment of branded floral sets and magazine-lettering ransom note designs that ASSC has been churning out for years.
But, we should’ve seen this coming: Stewart coming to ASSC’s rescue, that is.
Back in May, Marquee Brands bought ASSC in an acquisition deal, bringing the streetwear label together with the conglomerate’s squad of existing brands: BCBG Max Azria, Ben Sherman, and, of course, Martha Stewart.
At this point, don’t be surprised if ASSC next rolls out some “BAM!” tees in partnership with Emeril Lagasse, as the celebrity chef’s eponymous label is also under the Marquee Brands umbrella.
I can’t knock Stewart’s confidence in her ability to make ASSC hot again. She stated that her collaboration with the label that once had Tumblr in a chokehold “will be a sell-out!!!!!!!”
Who am I to argue with Stewart and her unfazed seven exclamation points?
Plus, believe it or not, ASSC drops still sell out to this day, so it’s not like the Martha collab is gonna make it any less cool to the people still buying it.
Take Stewart’s advice and “set your clocks” because the Martha Stewart x Anti Social Social Club collection releases on ASSC’s online store this Saturday.
