Say Hello to Megan Thee Avenger

Following months of speculation, the cat’s finally out of the bag – rap sensation and Highsnobiety cover star Megan thee Stallion is edging her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through Disney+’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

When it was announced that Marvel’s She-Hulk Disney+ series would play to the character’s comic book origins of fourth wall breaking with a hefty dose of cameos throughout each of its nine episodes, speculation as to who would make an appearance quickly followed.

Of course, the show’s trailers made it explicitly clear that the MCU’s Sorceror Supreme Wong would appear, as well as Daredevil, Abomination, Smart Hulk (and Bruce Banner), as well as a handful of villains. What they failed to reveal, however, was an indication as to whether the rumors surrounding Megan Thee Stallion’s role in the show were true.

Well, thanks to her cover story with The Cut, that confirmation has finally arrived. While official details concerning her role may remain a mystery, fans are already getting hyped to see the Grammy award-winning rapper interact with the show’s titular character.

Given the show’s courtroom setting, it may be safe to assume that Megan will feature as a client of Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk), which would mean she’s an “enhanced” individual. That’s Marvel nerd for super-powered, by the way.

Two episodes deep, with the third arriving this Thursday, maybe we will catch Meg interacting with her green-skinned counterparts sooner than expected – at least, that’s what this rollout would have me think.

Hero, villain, or civilian, whatever Meg’s character may be, her appearance will mark the beginning of her acting career, which she hopes will catapult her towards directing and producing.
