Salehe Bembury’s Clarks Collab Is Definitely Not a Wallabee

Is Salehe Bembury collaborating with Clarks? Yes. Is it a Wallabee? Absolutely not.

With only one image to go by thus far – which comes directly from Bembury’s IG – the silhouette in question is most definitely not that of a Wallabee, but instead a new style that looks to take inspiration from the Clarks Lugger, a design first released in the ‘80s.

Reworked by Bembury to form a new (albeit nameless at this stage) silhouette, the shoe arrives with a cozy fuzzy red upper, blue decoration towards the front, with laces slouched to one side, both of which sit atop an slightly enlarged crepe sole.

At the time of writing, drop information is yet to be announced, but if previous Clarks collaborations are anything to go by, a release is only around the corner.

That being said, Clarks looks to have a lot on its plate right now following last week’s VANDYTHEPINK release and what looks like an upcoming collaboration with ex-Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

Bembury isn’t one for resting though, mind. Following on from the release of yet another pair of Pollex Clogs with Crocs and a link-up with Vans, the designer doesn’t tend to hang about when it comes to dropping his works on quick succession, so don’t expect to have to wait too long to get a closer look at his Clarks.

Sit tight for now, as good things will come to those who wait.
